Open → draw → name → export
Open a PDF or use the sample. Select Text field and drag a rectangle on a page. Click without dragging to create a standard-size field. Select a field to edit its FieldName, default text, colors, border, font, alignment, and behavior.
Use Fill preview to type into your fields. Preview entries become field values and are saved in exports. Switch back to Design to move or resize fields. Names and selection guides are editor-only.
Keep your work
Export PDF downloads a new, fillable PDF; it never flattens the fields or overwrites your original. Save project downloads a JSON project containing the source PDF, layout, and any fonts you uploaded. Open that project to resume editing. Nothing is automatically saved after you close this page.
Field names matter
Names are case-sensitive and must be unique. Dots create a PDF field hierarchy, such as client.full_name. A name cannot be both a field and a parent. Different placements of an imported shared field keep the same name and value. Duplicate creates an independent field with a new name.
Fonts and existing forms
Standard fonts support a limited character set. For extended characters or a specific font, upload a licensed TTF/OTF and select it. Custom fonts are embedded in full so readers can use additional supported characters. They increase file size.
Ordinary text fields can be imported. Non-text, hidden, password, rich-text, and comb fields are preserved but not editable. Unmodified imported fields are preserved as-is. Edited fields use the selected font; unfamiliar original fonts are approximated in the editor until you upload the matching font. Renaming a field can break scripts or integrations that refer to its old name. Advanced actions on renamed fields are not retained.
This editor does not edit printed page text, perform OCR or redaction, or author checkboxes, dropdowns, or signatures. Encrypted, XFA, and digitally signed PDFs require an appropriate unprotected/unsigned AcroForm copy.

Local files, online libraries
Internet access is needed to load PDF.js, pdf-lib, and optional font support from jsDelivr or unpkg. PDF contents are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. Reader highlight colors may differ from the field's actual background. Always check the exported file in the PDF reader your recipients use.
